GAC Relaunches the Shrimp Boat Restaurant!

Saturday November 01, 2008 - The anticipation is over, the time has come. GAC recently completed the construction of the historic Shrimp Boat Restaurant. The Shrimp Boat opened its doors Saturday, November 1, 2008. Carrying on the family tradition, Loren Smith, owner and son of the original Shrimp Boat Restaurant owner in the 1950's, has raised the bar on dining in the Gulf Coast area.

The new establishment is 310 feet long, 3 stories high, with over 24,000 square feet of space and is modeled architecturally after a 19th century cuban cigar factory. The restaurant features an expo kitchen open to customers entering the restaurant or dining at the sushi bar. There is also a 55 foot long bar overlooking Smith Yacht Basin and the activities of the privately owned marina. Two large banquet rooms are housed upstairs for year round parties and functions. Come experience a taste of history...the Shrimp Boat is back!
